The new Tara from the German workshops in Bielefeld is further proof that leather is the passion of the HUNTER company. Collars and leashes from this new collection are made of a unique so-called Russian leather, better known in our country under the term juchta.
The production of jucht is very time and physically demanding, only natural raw materials are used for tanning and rare birch oil for oiling, which gives the product exceptional properties. Jucht collars are very strong and durable, but at the same time flexible and light. Another great advantage of this leather is its ability to repel dirt and water. This is also why "Russian leather" was an important export item of Tsarist Russia, and the secret of its production was carefully guarded until the 19th century.
Birch oil, which is also widely used in perfumery, is also attributed with the ability to repel insects.
